Returning the ATV
Bring the ATV back and photograph it. The return photos are the only thing the app needs from you to close the rental.
Take the return photos
Photograph the machine the way you did at checkout — same angles where you can, so the two sets compare cleanly. This is the step that finishes your part.
Then we check it
Once your photos are in, the rental shows as returned and comes to us. Someone compares your return photos against your checkout photos and either approves the return or raises a damage claim. The rental shows as completed once that is done.
What happens to your card
When the return is approved:
- The rental fee is settled. If you walked up, the hold from check-out is charged now. If you reserved, you were charged when you booked and nothing further is taken.
- Any deposit hold still on your card is released.
You get a receipt.
If there is damage, part of the deposit is taken and the rest released, and you are told the amount and the reason. See damage claims.
How long the deposit takes to clear
Releasing the hold happens immediately on our side. How long it takes to disappear from your statement is your bank's decision. See the deposit hold.
This article explains how the process works. What you owe, and on what terms, is set by the rental agreement — the copy you signed is what governs your rental.
